About / Our Impact

Unite for America formed in November 2016 as an online community of conservatives and liberals reaching out across the political divide after one of the most divisive elections in U.S. history.

Our first community campaign was part of the movement to send the Electoral College vote to the House of Representatives in light of Russian entanglements in the election. The "Unite for America" PSA featuring Martin Sheen and other activists gained over 1 million views overnight and galvanized a unique community of conservatives and liberals working side-by-side to educate the public on our obscure electoral laws.

More importantly, we created a powerful post-partisan network of everyday Americans with a demonstrated willingness to suspend partisanship momentarily and find common ground in shared values—and an ability to transform that willingness into mass action.
